I am Gina Gabriell, owner, artist and instructor of Eleven Morning Art Studio. This year I have decided to open my studio up to a few friendly and creative people interested in making art.

I studied ceramic sculpture at the California College of The Arts in Oakland California but I have spent the last ten years playing with glass, metal, textiles, wood, jelwlery and paper. I am a very curious artist, I can't seem to stay in one place doing the same thing for very long. There are not enough hours in the day for me, I love creating, learning, and discovering new and exciting ways to play with the same old stuff.

In the next couple weeks I will be working on a schedule of classes. I would like to keep the workshops small and the projects rich. You have to want to get your hands dirty, love art, love to play, explore, and share your inner artist.

Ceramic workshops will begin in the spring when the weather starts to warm up. There is nothing more satisfying than making a big bowl with your bare feet in the grass a big warm sun and honey ice tea. This is a messy, muddy class.

Jewlery workshops will be held evenings. We need the nights to be cool and the sky to be dark so we can watch our Art Clay turn into silver. It is pure magic, drums optional.

Textiles will be year round but are most fun in the fall when the leaves are falling and the sky is cooling. I love to make big quilts with a group of people. Hot tea, old stories, lot's of laughing and cookies, always cookies. By winter you will have something warm to snuggle under.

Paper, who doesn't love paper. This is best on a summer day, the paper dries faster and it looks so beautiful hanging on the line. We will not only make our own paper but we will use it to make hand bound journals, cards, fairy houses, lamps, and music boxes.
